In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “(Extra)ordinary.”
Writing, handwriting, is ordinary. But it doesn’t start like that. For someone who is just learning to write, it is extra-ordinary!
Maxi Mister is still only 5 and has been in Year 1 (his 2nd year at school) for less than half a term. At the beginning of Reception last year, he could write his letters and print simple words (his reading has always outstripped his writing). He now writes in (admittedly slightly messy) cursive script, but the difference in a year is extraordinary.
This is part of his homework – the instructions for a game he had to create. He designed everything and wrote out his instructions with not too much help from Daddy. All spellings are his.
Ordinary, but extraordinary!
